Sulzer has announced the launch of the world’s biggest medium-consistency pump, the MCE93-400, which has been inbuilt response to buyer demand for bigger manufacturing rates in pulp mills.
The pumping of liquids with a excessive dry solids content material – medium consistency – is essential for processes within the pulp and paper business.
In current years, production rates have spiralled. As a result, Sulzer developed the MCE93-400 for a customer venture with record-breaking values.
The capability of the pump reaches up to 10,000 air dry metric tonnes per day with the circulate up to 940 l/s and the top up to 180 m. The MCE pump is designed for a pressure ranking of 25 bar.
