Hayward Tyler awarded pump contract for ITER fusion project

Hayward Tyler Inc and its sister firm Energy Steel have been awarded multi-million dollar contracts to assist the ITER challenge in France.

Hayward Tyler’s contract covers variable drive booster pumps whereas Energy Steel will provide 62 solenoid valve and cubicle packages.
The ITER challenge is a joint worldwide research and growth project to reveal the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion power. The demonstration facility is beneath development in St-Paul-lez-Durance in France, and would be the largest fusion experimental reactor on the planet.
